Touchscreen big problem

I have one big problem on my omnia. My top right corner is not accesible to touchscreen not at all. Is exact the corner where was the x from the previous version of rooms wm6.5 23060. i try diferent roms from diferent cookers, wm6.5 &wm6.1 but no answer from that corner. was somebody else dealing with this problem???? thx in advance for your help.

Could be a number of things. If it's hardware related it may mean you need a new digitizer. But before that try these:

Recalibrate your screen from system settings; Make sure you use your stylus not fingers

Download and install favourite hackings - in there increase the sensitivity (there's a box for it) and there's also an auto calibration set of registry entries....two versions....

See how that goes..

In the picture bellow i draw in notes the screen how it response to sensitivity. i try also from my setings to recalibrate but don't work. i will try also the favorites hacking.

I see....well to be perfectly honest - if the favourite hackings doesn't work then it sounds like you have a hardware fault. I cannot see that a flashed ROM of any nature would disable areas of your screen.....

Looks like you may be looking at a new digitiser. Check the sticky threads for a guide on how to purchase and replace the screen. (It's really easy).

i check some of them but a new digitizer it's about 50-60 euro in Romania. Maybe i will try to send it in service for guarante. Thx jonboyuk for your reply's

omg.. on ebay there only 15 quid.. thats like 20 or suma euros probably i think o.0

Daca esti din bucuresti mergi la pelicanul gsm (in piata rosetti) si te rezolva cu 150 ron. Iti schimba touchscreen-ul cu unul nou. Din soft nu ai cum sa-l faci. Aceeasi problema am avut-o si eu :)

nu sunt din bucuresti dar daca am cumva drum si nu se rezolva la garantie cred ca o sa merg acolo unde mi-ai sugerat tu. mersi.

It's more expensive the life here in Romania.

I have the same problem with my Omnia, but only my screen doesn`t respond in lower left corner.. I tried hard reset, reg tweaks, but nothing helped. So I oredered new digitizer from Ebay for like $28 with shipping.. still waiting for it to arrive..

So please don't forget about us and tell how you manage the new display and if is much better the old one. Thx waiting for your reply.

Ok, so yesterday the new screen came to me from Ebay. I had the same problem that you have and after nearly 2 hours of work changing the new screen on my Omnia, after that it works perfect! The sensitivity rocks, no more dead parts on the screen. It`s just amazing!
