Custom Start-up and Shutdowns

Startup/Shutdown themes for your own personal use or to cook into ROMs if you'd like to. :)

To install, just unzip and place the files in /windows/ overwriting the defaults there.

To uninstall, just delete them. The ROM defaults will be restored after a soft reset.

Family Guy:

The startup image is Peter welcoming you to the side-boob hour (From the FCC episode). The off sound is Quagmire Laughing and saying "oh that's just awful!" with a simple horizontal sliding bar.

MGM:

Startup is the MGM Lion roaring. The off is the same sliding bar with Porky Pig's "That's all Folks!" (lol)

What sound problems did you have, Waikiki?

Just i had to rename the files...when i unconpressed..the sound files were pwr_on.gif....

Or something like this...in my rom the original sound files are:Poweron.gif and Poweroff.gif...

Just that...all works fine...thank you...

Just one idea...

Do you remember the lion that always appeared before in all the old films...i believe it was something from Warner Brothers or some film company .....

I hope someone can help me to remember exactly which one was...... :)

I was thinking maybe it could be a nice startup sound...and with the lion in gif file....

P.D.:I don´t know how old you are but i hope someone with more than 30 years old can know what i mean :(

I'm 22 and I know what you're referring to :)

Maybe I'll whip one up for you when I get a free moment.

Per your request. Enjoy! I just threw it together really quickly. If you want, I can trim the sides before resizing so it's not so "squished." Also, there's one last flicker left at the end of the .gif. I can add in a black frame so it ends cleanly.

And if you like it.. I like Dr. Pepper, haha..

MGM Lion - very cool!! Would really love it if you could adjust the GIFs so that it doesn't look squished, and is more square and centred in the screen, with more black space above and below like it was in the original movies.

Love the sound with it (syncs better than Family Guy and the video is not as crappy quality). Good work!!

Did you overwrite the existing files using Resco File Explorer / Total Commander?

hmmm... file explorer (not resco), i'll use total commander next time... i'll let you know result then. btw did you finish mgm lion? - that's worth a dr. pepper for sure

I'm reflashing to liorytes base 23071 from Model T due to lots of titanium panel not working.

Nope, lol. Tomorrow morning though :) I have to go through and resize each and every frame so that it's not all squished, lol.. And hving 50+ frames will take a while, especially since I don't want to have the image jumping all over, lol..

You are referring to MGM... which stands for Metro•Goldwyn•Mayer. That lion is probably spinning in his grave at your association of Warner Brothers with him. LOL!!!

B)

Yep, I'm older than 30.
