Help please =(

Hello I am a newb to the omnia but have been around WM for years since my MDA :) . Now I am trying to load the VZW upgraded rom before I flash a custom rom. problem is it just freezes at 60% no matter what I do. I am on a windows XP machine, I have pulled the battery on the Omnia and rebooted the computer and changed USB ports. I can't figure it out.

I can however load a custom rom it just takes about 3 battery pulls after its loaded to get the WM6.5 screen to load correctly ;) If anyone has any ideas that would rock! :(
