Guest Poag Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Hi All, I recently picked up a Hero after my iPhone elected that my carrier connection wasn't really there...for a week. Regardless I picked one up and on the advice of a friend installed the modaco ROM. All was well in the land and I happily copied music to my hero. Long and the short, i mounted the hero as USB and removed all the music folders from my mac, unmounted, went into the SD status screen and got told my SD card was still full [i had about 9gb of music on a 16gb card..so had a little over 6gb left + nandroid backups etc] I'm not entirely sure what to do about this now. I go into the SD card controls and select format and it appears to do nothing. I've tried saving over the SD card, but get told it is still holding the music. Thus I am kinda stuck for what to try next. I assume the SD Card format is disabled in the new ROM? Any other way to recover that space without re-roming twice? -Alex
Guest griffog Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Can't you format the card on your Mac?
Guest Poag Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Can't you format the card on your Mac? I gave it a go on the mac but was greeted with an error i forget right now, worth another try tho i think!. However I was wondering if wipeing the card would have any negative impacts on the custom rom. Aside the loss of my backups which I can just copy in any case :)
Guest griffog Posted October 14, 2009 Report Posted October 14, 2009 Shouldn't affect the ROM at all. Have you formatted the SD Card for the Apps2SD function or is it just a standard format? I'm running the custom ROM with an 8GB card formatted as normal.
