However I promise something more radical when I get the time :)

However I promise something more radical when I get the time :) ok, i had to take a screenshot of mine to see the difference :( attached for future reference. btw, do you have an idea how to change the menu background? i like the one from the stock android menu, it gives the items some kind of a "hovering" effect... i'll look into the roms as soon as my girl lets me, maybe you can give me a starting point? Guest kendon Posted October 15, 2009 Report Posted October 15, 2009 Yeah I already thought that was the only option, so technically your overwriting the standard theme. you could check what files are in the update.zip provided here, get these files from your hero while it has the default theme and swap them for the modified in the update.zip. after resigning you can apply it as usual. <- this is how i think it works, would be nice if someone who actually knows it could confirm.

Install it the same way as a custom rom I did, i pressed home when it was booting up, got to the menu and selected choose.zip (this was before i attempted to rename it) and it didnt show up. Then i renamed it to update.zip and selected what was highlighted but there was no letters it was blank and it said installation was aborted, so what am i doing wrong?

Im using RA-HERO-v1.2.2 with MoDaCo 2.6 and i redownloaded and kept the file name as it was but that still didnt work Edited October 16, 2009 by jayw08

After renaming it to update.zip and that wasnt recognised. i did turn it into a .zip file by repacking it and it recognised it but then install was aborted I attatched a screenshot of how the files show up, your newer theme is there too Update: I enabled my computer to show known file types and just deleted the .jar and then transfered it to my SD card and renamed it update.zip and it worked.
