Guest kevinof Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Hi all, I just updated from MCR 2.0 to 2.6. All working fine except that the HTC mail widget doesn't honour the "confirm on delete" setting. It always worked on the previous version and the setting is still there in email settings. I've switched it off, back on again but still doesn't pay any attention to it. Anyone else have this problem or even better, a solution for it? thanks, kevin

Guest Paul Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 OK, could someone try this... you need 'adb' in order to be able to do this... - DO A NANDROID BACKUP - Download this zip file - Run a command prompt to the directory where you have extracted the file - Type 'adb remount' - Type 'adb rm /system/app/htcmailwidgets.*' - Type 'adb push htcmailwidgets.apk /system/app/' - Type 'adb shell reboot' See if the problem is resolved! :) P
Guest kendon Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 OK, could someone try this... you need 'adb' in order to be able to do this... doesn't work... i followed your instructions, after rebooting the widget is gone from my homepage. when i try to add it it doesn't show up in the list of available widgets. when i try to install it with astro it can't be installed, not even after a "adb remount"...
Guest Paul Posted October 16, 2009 Report Posted October 16, 2009 Ah yes, I see... hmmm, let me see what I can do. P
