Hi,

Don't know if this has been documented but by chance I found a fix for the Sms reply bug that causes the screen to hang for long period.

Reg edit is needed as follows.

HKCU Software\Microsoft\Inbox\MsgTypes\IPM\SMStext\DLL

change from ...mms.dll...to...htmlnote.dll

Will now load instantly..

Cheers.

not really a fix but an alternative way to send messages as the ui change a bit, this is much better than the hang-ups that really sucks! thanks mate! don't forget to restart after the change =)

The only problem is that after doing the suggested fix , when you go to the "to" and start typing a name it does not give you all the names that start with the letters. You need to press on the "to" and than get your contacts.

it does give a drop down name, you have to swipe the (used-to-be) finger mouse button to the right after typing a letter

thanks!! works great on Shokkas latest ROM. as reported above, names dont appear in a dropdown box unless you swipe across on the finger pad. not a big deal, much less of an inconvenience than having a poorly working sms reply function.

BTW, you could always use the SMS reply function with threaded SMS turned off. the screen hangs, but you can manually press the keyboard button and it would all load up ok. it was a pain to do though

I made cab with registry key of sms reply fix.

It fixes non threaded sms reply.

install Sms reply fix.cab

Soft reset

It doesn't matter if you disable threaded mode of sms before install or after install of this cab

Update 10.11.2009

New cab.

I had check it and now it works for 100%.

Before you install new version, you must uninstall old version.

enjoy it
