is this a official ROM ? sorry if its a stupid question, because i m using DXID1 and it takes 5 to 10 mins to connect to gps

its not Rom ,,its Radio .. you have Gps.Extra ??

i got enhanced Gps and External Gps . or is this just the other name of phone part or phone.bin ?

no :D ...it takes time approx 5 mins or more...i think i need to update my phone part.

ya i think is better then earlier ..yaa not as fast as u have 5 to 10 sec ....and after researching a bit i came to know that " connectivity speed of GPS depends on the your loaction, weather and there are other factors also plus there are there are two three stages cold start and hot start and warm start .

cold start means starting afresh . it takes longer - usually 1-2-3-4-5 minutes depending upon above mentioned factors when u first start ur device to get a satelite fix after using few hours ago or or device moved many miles gps being off. it will again try to collect data from satelites . once you get the satelite fix and use it for a while and would want to use it again within few hours from same location or around the same location u switched it off, data would still be fresh and retained. so it will get a fix in few seconds that is called hot /warm start. what is the time duration device retains the data if one hasn't moved for hot or warm start I don't know I think 12 hours. omnia gps chip which is qualcom 6xxx series is reported to little slower to get a fix as compared sirf star III chip or qualacom 7xxx chip series chip "

so it could also be one of the reason.
