Tmobile g2 touch Customer ID Error ?

Hi Friends.

i want to update my hero software i have g2 touch aka hero.

i start the RUU update exe and tick next.finally i have an error. error writes Customer ID Error.

what can i do know?

Which RUU are you trying to use?

If its the WWE one from HTC's website, it wont work. The only RUU you can use is the T-Mobile one.

Personally I would avoid it as it will lock you out of installing any modified roms.

Read and fully understand the thread here about upgrading to the Modaco 2.6.1 custom rom and install the recovery rom as well, you will be far better off and not locked into a rom that is poorly supported (t-mobile support is shockingly bad).

i download it on tmobile.co.uk.

i wait my new sd card. i want to install 2.6.1 custom rom.

The T-Mobile one is locked in, you wont be able to use the standard install methods for Modaco, you will need to follow this guide first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=572683

Also, i notice from your signature that you have the German T-Mobile G2. If you have a German devicem the UK RUU should not work.

you'll need the German one from t-mobile DE. Alternatively, start reading this forum extensively, and also XDA-Developers so that you can understand HOW to upgrade the device and then do it.

Be aware that there are no 'Dummies Guides', you will need to find the information so you understand what is going on, but it is ver straighforward once you understand it.

now i use the phone but havent got carrier.

i didnt call anyone ?
