Guest yatpeak Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 I am trying to get MSN Messenger working trough GPRS but each time I try I get the error "Unable to connect. Verify you have network coverage and try again.". I have tried dialing up to GPRS before trying to log on but is has no effect. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks, Wyatt

Guest yatpeak Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 Yes, my passport account is correct, anything else? (That sounds rude to me, no offence intended at all) Thanks, Wyatt

Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 You definitely have GPRS enabled? Can you browse using IE? P
Guest yatpeak Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 Yes, it's connected, I was browsing the internet a few minutes before I tried to connect to MSN Messenger. Thanks, Wyatt
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 Odd! Try creating a new passport account and using that? Doesn't make sense to me  P
Guest idoru Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 Hi Yatpeak, do you consistently get the same error when you try to connect? For example, do you ever get a Microsoft messaging server not responding try later message?
Guest yatpeak Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 No, it's always the same error, but I will try making a new passport. Thanks, Wyatt
Guest idoru Posted February 3, 2003 Report Posted February 3, 2003 Hi yatpeak, I have been able to connect to MSN since? I'm still unable to connect to MSN over GPRs and I am considering trying JabberCE. Did getting a new passport account work for you? thanks.
Guest yatpeak Posted February 4, 2003 Report Posted February 4, 2003 No unfortunately, I didn't. I'm going to continue trying, but I think that JabberCE might be a good idea. Thanks, Wyatt
