Shortcut to 6.5 Start Menu

Probably something easy/stupid... but I'm looking to create a shortcut to the WM 6.5 startmenu, so I can create a widget in Mobile Shell to load the Start Menu.

Anyone know the answer?

Go into settings - Mobile Shell - System - Uncheck "Override start menu" or whatever it says, and soft reset. That way when you see the normal 6.5 start button and hit it, the 6.5 start menu will show. But when you're actually using mobile shell, I don't think there's a way to.

Not possible through conventional use of the program. But you may want to check this topic on how to customize SPB 3 - assuming that's what you're using.

Sorry I don't think I explained quite what I meant... just looking to create a lnk shortcut that opens the 6.5 start menu. The purpose of which is to create an app shortcut widget in mobile shell to open the start menu. :)

See if you have \windows\controlpanel.exe. I use IPhoneToday and create a icon link to this file. It'll open up the Old Start Menu.

Actually that opens the old control panel with personal, system, connections tabs on the bottom.

/windows/start.exe is the old start menu. Most custom 6.5 Roms have taken it out though.

Now you can also use Hi-Launcher software for Windows Mobile by RNS:: Software.

Version 1.0 was released yesterday, and its configuration options are virtually unlimited.

It's a highly customizable Start Menu replacement which can mimic the classic Start Menu on Windows Mobile 6.5:

Install this little cab. You will have a shortcut which opens the start menu.
