Guest castanho Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 Greetings everyone, I have a i900 with a custom rom from shokka, i900DXID1/SHKv99, I've been using custom rom's since I bought my omnia, and I was using this one for quite awhile without any problems, almost too good to be true, today I connected my headphones, opened my file explorer to click the song I wanted to hear and instead of musical harmony I got this: "cannot play the file. The file is either corrupted or the player does not support the format you are trying to play", the file was regular mp3, not corrupted, because I tested it on my PC, I uninstalled the latest apps I installed but nothing works, I searched the forum and googled it but everyone says the only solution is hard reset, I'm terrified, because my phone is simply tuned the way I wan't it... Does any of you geniuses from modaco can help me? Without my music the my omnia sucks big time :) By the way it does not work touch player nor windows media player with the same message error, and my mp3 ringtones work fine, I have no ideia what happened. Thanks in Advance!!! P. Castanho
Guest kav Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 try using another music player, sometimes m$ s*** is all screwed up just when u need it most. LOL
Guest rigor.m Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 This happened to me a few days ago after I installed some of the apps from Omnia Lite and played around with them. Did not find any solution except hard reset. MP3 ringtones would play fine, but if I tried to change the ringtone in Control Panel I could not preview it . Also none of the music players worked. I would suggest for you to uninstall any recently installed programs but don't get your hopes up.
Guest castanho Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 First of all thank you for the reply kav and rigor.m, I also installed touch player from that Omnia Lite Ported apps topic, that must be IT! Well, guess I will have to backup and HARDLY PAINFULLY RESET :) Thanks P. Castanho
Guest kav Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 why dont u try uninstalling the touch player first then give it a try. i installed the touch player as well but couldnt get the app to work properly, so i just uninstalled dit and it was done.
