Very Slow Browsing help

Hello ,

I was wondering if there was any future fix to the very slow browser hanging problems.

Even on wifi my hero browser hangs , and half the time times out.

My wife has same handset and she has browser problems too.

All other internet using applications are fine just the browser we are using Pauls 2.7.1 latest release with FU latest radio.

Is there another browser that will be faster that i can use in the mean time tried opera still hangs!

I dont get any browsing issues? no hanging - obviously slow in loading when out of 3g, for me it works faultlessly over wifi?

I resolved this for myself probably a bit cheekerly. I'm with T mobile and i had for my previous phone the max broadband package instead of the web and walk so i could use it as a dongle. However when i upgrade to a hero they automaitcally swapped it back as apparently the hero can be used as a dongle (which it can) and no need for the extra package. However i quickly noticed that wehn using the hero as a dogle the internet on my laptop was absolutely pants and kept dropping all the time, so much worse than when i was on teh broadband package previously. SO i kicked off with them on the phone and demanded the put the package back on instead of the web and walk one, I mean after all it is £5 more i would be paying them. SO they did and ever since using it as a dongle it has been amazing.

But back to the point of the thread, as a side effect now the Hero on it's own internet it has been truly fantastic. The tmobile guys said they couldn't understand it as both the packages were the same and the broadband plus one only enabled older phones to be used as a dongle. However i beg to differ, my phones been amazing, so i think that the extra money i'm paying on the package may give a bit more bandwidth to the phone or even a higher priority on the data usage.

Just my experince is all, but may be worth ago, pursuade them to put you on the package to see if it makes a difference, after all you'll be giving them an extra £5 just to get the phone to do what its supposed to do.

Nope, my solution only worked for a few days. The internet was blinding fast but now it's back to normal where it drops in about 30 second cycles.

Anyone else still getting this and any ideas on resolving it? I'm running the Modaco 2.9 ROM.

same problme here, really slow internet on the phone for the last week or two...i know the t mo were having 3g issues (i no longer get the "H" for hspda only 3G) but would love to get this sorted as no when the phones not on wifi the internet is terrible
