Guest jgtthd Posted October 22, 2009 Report Posted October 22, 2009 hi everyone - to start i wanted to post here as i have never used a windows powered mobile. i have a htc hero at the moment but got a call from t mob today and they have offered me a free HD2 when it comes out in a few weeks as i have massive bills every month... i looked at the spec sheet and some videos on youtube and the phone looks awesome, but the andoid folk are saying that winmo is terrible and i would be crazy to switch. the HD2 looks like it has the same UI as the hero with a better screen and a processor that's twice as fast (that snap dragon 1ghz processor has me drooling :) ) what does anyone here in the winmo section think about winmo in general and has anyone played with a hd2 yet??? any advice would be welcome. with winmo can we add custom roms like on android?
Guest awarner (MVP) Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 What you can do on the Android you can do on a Windows Mobile device we were there first and Andriod followed :D A lot of WM users have gone over to Android mainly because it's a new field and some feel WM was beginning to get a bit stagnant in development. Personally I would jump at a free HD2 but remember the size of the unit, it's not the smallest of devices and may not suit everyone. I also think Android is still very young in its development, it has potential but it's not quite there yet.

But if it's really free (I don't have any experience with contracts^^) then I'd get it ahaha
Guest Limlin Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 I got HTC diamond2 and have seen much about HTC HD2. It's indeed a top device. Multi touch and big screen. Also the running speed is faster than diamond 2 of course. Well the only thing I don't like is it doesn't fit my jeans pants....
