Guest topbanana4 Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 if you go onto tomtom's web site it says in the pda section that the omnia is available for the samsumg omnia ,now surely there version should have no third party software i.e GPS gate and ,it should use the internal GPS unit.

Never could get TomTom working the way i wanted it to. And i ive used igo8 for so long now that i ithink igo is better the tomtom. brother... i installed tomtom and a strip of white line between the map and the speed and stuff. it was pretty anoying. i had Tomtom on my p3300 and it worked well on there but with Omina, not so...

I would agree and would really like to find out if it now works. It wasn't there before and I very much doubt TomTom would want to open a can of refund-shaped worms for every buyer of TomTom for their Omnia. I would think that it works fine, but before I buy it, I'll let someone else find out first :D

I would think that it works fine, but before I buy it, I'll let someone else find out first :D I tried TT7 Navigator but could never get it to work properly on the Omnia, even with all the third party installed apps, like PortSplitter etc.. so now I go iGo8 which works fine on the Omnia and TT7 also installed but TT7 is working on an external BT GPS receiver.
Guest doi620 Posted October 24, 2009 Report Posted October 24, 2009 (edited) I have no problem with TT7 on my Omnia. I use GPS Proxy and it finds a fix in 0-5 minutes, which I think is more than reasonable. Edited October 24, 2009 by doi620

I am currently using that with tomtom 6 on my omnia.
