Thanks! :)
Guest kav Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 ....... plus if anyone has a link to the fastest and most stable ROM for WM6.5 it would be much appreciated. Thanks! :) there is no fastest and most stable rom for wm6.5. this u will have to find one that fits ur needs urself. as for bricking ur phone,, as long as u are using the custom roms here, thay are only the pda parts, not the radio(phone parts) so it is essentially more difficult to brick the phone. i dont say it cannot happen, it sure can, but its up to u. how u follow instructions and how much bad luck u have :( good luck and enjoy flashing ;) ;) :(
Guest saad93 Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 Thanks for your help kav but i have a new question, what does flashing the accutually delete, what do i have to backup and will it flashing delete my apps and stuff? And is flashing the PDA part and Phone any different? Thanks!! :)

And is flashing the PDA part and Phone any different? Thanks!! :) its not really different to flash phone part or pda part, but i would not advise u to do the phone part. flashing erases all the data on the device memory including txt msgs, contacts and, well basically everything. i would definitely recommend to backup all the data u have, as for the apps, u will have to reinstall them.

Flashing of phone part will not erase any datas... its not like flashing ROM containing PDA part only....
Guest kav Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 Flashing of phone part will not erase any datas... its not like flashing ROM containing PDA part only.... let me clarify, flashing the pda part will erase all data, sure thing. maybe i wasnt clear before abt which part. phone part i dont advise to do it because it has a bigger chance to brick the phone.

Ah, now i know why it's good not to flash the phone part. But does the phone part change anything when it is flashed? Why flash it at all if it increases the chances of bricking the omnia?
Guest kevin2210 Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 (edited) Ah, now i know why it's good not to flash the phone part. But does the phone part change anything when it is flashed? Why flash it at all if it increases the chances of bricking the omnia? cause if rom is included phone part so the process of flashing rom will cost more time (about 2-5 minutes) you'll never know what is going to happen in this time (yours pc sudden restart in this time, or the power is off ETC) more time more chace of bricking phone Edited December 25, 2009 by kevin2210
