Buying new Micro SD card, best deals?

Hi guys,

I'm finally going to upgrade to a new Micro SD card after reading that it makes a big difference to the speed of the Hero compared to the bundled 2gb one.

This is the best deal I've found at the moment, 8gb sandisk class 6 (with mobile ultra written on it, which bodes well) for £17.99 from Amazon.

I've read that Kingston also do good ones, but can't find any better deals than this.

Just wondering if anyone has recently seen a better deal which they would kindly share, or advice on which cards to get :D

Also, did you notice an improvement in performance when you upgraded the micro SD?

Does anybody have experience with transcend? Just found a 16gb class 6 transcenr micro sd on amazon for under £50!

Thoughts please!

I have a 16gb class6 trascend.

I was not so sure about the actual performance but I paid it about 33 euro here in Bangkok so I couldn't complain much anyway^^

In general, while I was reading some Singapore forums about Omnia2 while it was first realesed there, the comments about Trascend were good.

If someone has a Sandisk class 6 we could run some test or benchmark, let me know.

Just read here....

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/440321/sand...cro-sd-card-cla

that the sandisk ultra 8gb micro sd class 6 is the fastest on the market... sold, I'm buying the sandisk onei think.

Will post my findings here when it arrives

I always use Transcend now- never had any probs - have it as memory in my laptop, 2 x USB sticks and 4gb class 6 in the hero + a 8gb class 6 in my daughters nintendo DS. From my experience I have had 2 sandisk memory cards that have given up the ghost in the past, although I'm sure there are many people that swear by that brand and have never had any issues - just my experience really.

Why not just get a 8gb class 6 for now - you can pick them up for 13 quid online
