SDK versions 1.5 vs 1.6

Hi,

Sorry if this is a trivial question but I'm confused with SDK versions vs FW versions.

1. I have a HTc Hero with FW 1.5. Can it execute an application developed with SDK 1.6?

2. Can a phone with FW 1.6 execute an application developed with SDK's 1.5?

3. The tools (ADB, fastboot, etc.) in SDKs 1.6 and 1.5 are different. Is it possible/advisable to use the 1.6 tools with SDK 1.5?
