Guest simonb29 Posted October 26, 2009 Report Posted October 26, 2009 I have just bought the Pulse after owning HTC Vox for 2.5 years. Relatively easy transition, but still struggling with all the new terminology. Tried to follow all of Paul's advice (thanks Paul), but not quite brave enough to actually make changes. :D Anyway, when writing a text message is it possible to insert a carriage return? When i press the button that looks like CR, it sends the message !!! Does anyone else have this problem? Are you guys changing the keypad? Ta in advance.

(however im using a G1) Go in to messaging and press menu, then settings. In the settings there is a check box for send on enter, uncheck that and you should be good to go! If the settings aren't there, id like to suggest Handcent SMS (NEW) in the market place, its a much nicer SMS application than the native one on Android. Hope thats of some help! Cheers, Jon Edited October 28, 2009 by joners
Guest simonb29 Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) Cheers for your help Jon. I tried what you suggested but no settings refer to the Enter 'button' Thanks for the recommendation of Handcent SMS, i'll try it later. Does it do both SMS and MMS? Tested Handcent and it is much better than the default package. It does both SMS and MMS. ...AND the Enter button acts as a Carriage Return. Thanks again, Edited October 28, 2009 by simonb29
