SMS Service Centre

Hi Guys,

After unlocking my Pulse from T-Mobile so I can use my O2 sim I have one issue which I would like some help on.

Internet access is OK (apart from me only having a 2G sim which O2 are upgrading).

Receiving SMS is OK but sending results in Failed messages.

After looking at http://justdevelopment.blogspot.com/2009/0...essentials.html it may be due to the SMS service centre number. I followed the procedure but adding the O2 SMS service centre number results in an error message in the edit box.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

Sorted now,

Connected to USB using Terminal,

AT+CSCA?

gave +CSCA: "",

so I used

AT+CSCA="+447802000332",145

This allowed SMS to be sent, it also survived a reboot so it must have been written to NV also.

Glad to hear that you got it sorted Martin.

Just wanted to double check that you got your phone unlocked with Tmobile? How much did they charge you? How long did it take for the unlock code to come in?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

cheers,

Jon

Hi Jon,

The last time I posted details of who unlocked my phone on this forum Ashley assumed I was a spammer and blocked my account from posting. I had to create a new persona to get any new posts.

Ashley, Paul what is the policy here, can I reply to Jon in a PM with the link?

I think I can say that it cost 26.50 and took a few working hours.

So long as you're not affiliated with the company, post away! Seems expensive to me...

Hi:

I have the same problem as you. I can't fill SMSC value. How did you do? How did you connect via usb? Thanks in advance!!!

I'm having a very similar problem but with the San Francisco / ZTE Blade and would also very much like to know how to connect with a Terminal via USB!

Any pointers would be hugely appreciated!

Maybe you should try on the ZTE Blade forum?

Oh, I am posting on there, but I thought I'd post here too just in case the procedure is similar to that which the original poster used on his Pulse.

The problem is certainly similar, so there's a chance the fix will be too.
