Guest MichelDiamond Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 (edited) Now 2.0 with sufolder search and much more - look at changelog I made this Plugin, because I think it's very useful for me - and perhaps it's also useful for you. Another Launcher? No - not like the Launcher, which are already available - I wouldn't have developed it otherwise - and I developed it mostly on my handy, because I hadn't much time the last weeks. You can define in some Launchers what you want - but what about if you want to start quickly something, which is not in your Favos? And how about a Keyboard direct in Titanium? :D (could tease some iPhone-Fans :P ) And therefore "TitaniumStarter" - to start everything quickly. Together with Favorites Plugin of contable and JMLLauncher from JMHL (and jmltoday) I got a wonderful "Launch suite" Features: - Keyboard direct in Titanium Panel - Full animated switching between Keyboard and Results (it should look cool) - Designed to launch quickly each program in Start Menu with direct accessable different input methods - Installed by TICS_installer: So it will work in ALL THEMES not only Standard Titanium, also Blizz,Josito,... (if you want to make a special .plg for the keyboard in your favorite Theme, just give it to me, I will integrate it) - ALL RESOLUTIONS: QVGA, WQVGA, VGA, WVGA - ALL ROM-Languages - no dependencies to a country or WWE-ROM - it knows, where your Start Menu is to find - Different type modes (left side of keyboard): -- I = one letter will start search for all Programs in Startmenu with this abecedarian letter -- II = one letter needs tab on "GO", after two letters automatic search -- III = type the word as long you want - only "GO" initiates search - Wildcard-Search - e.g. "*oo" in Mode III would find "Groovefish" as well as "Bluetooth Explorer" - Launches programs/chooses letter after tab on plugin - possible because of AreaButtons of JMLPanex - To erase last letter just click backward button in the bottom-right corner under "GO" - to erase all input just click on current mode on left side - ...little bit more- just find it out Changelog & additional Features of 2.0: - now can search all subfolders of Start Menu - Search Algorithm written in C - so very fast search - completely redeveloped data structure - Adjustable Animation-speed - Links can viewed with or without Folder Info - Extra Design for Folder-View/Non-Folder View - Context Menu to change Folder-View, Refresh,Animation-Speed - After Start an Application, Plugin switch to Keyboard and refresh itself - Skinable - only provide a new /image-Directory - Little bit more, which I've forgotten now ;) Requirements: - Mortscript 4.2 or higher *Download Mortscript 4.2* - JMLPanex >= 2.0 / better 2.10 *Download JMLPanex* for working Titanium-Buttons I have some ideas for updates or for another usages of this - it's something what I have developed/will develop ocassionally. TitaniumStarter is free und will stay free - please don't repost it without asking. Install to Main Memory like every Titanium Plugin and of course: I overtake no responsibility for damaging your device (however this should go  ) Download: TitaniumStarter_2.0.CAB AddOn: If your Animation is too slow - you can use smaller Images, which has been made by Jumba (Thanx my Friend!) - just replace the Images with them from Image-Directory of TitaniumStarter. Download: images_smaller_size_byJumba.zip Credits: JMHL for JMLPanex MattJackson for Keyboard-Image Mort for Mortscript Jumbafor repainting Images to improve performance Hope you like it and its useful for you (or only to impress a little bit some iPhone-Users :) ) Micha TitaniumRSS, TICS, TitaniumStarter, JMLLibrary and the other stuff- Like my work? To spend much more nights, if you want, you can donate a cup of coffee for me. . Edited October 27, 2009 by MichelDiamond
Guest Jumba Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Oh my, you've done it again. This is an awesome app!
Guest syrguy1969 Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 OK......ummmm.....WOW!!!!! I'll try it out later!! Thanks!!! :D
Guest contable Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Great work, my friend !!! In the next version of my APPLauncher I will inlude 2 Jump-Buttons for TitaniumStarter and JMLLauncher. Thank you. Greetz contable
Guest MichelDiamond Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 (edited) @syriguy, contable: Thanx :D Oh my, you've done it again. This is an awesome app! *laughing* Like Britney? :P It was only fun while developing 1.0 - I developed on my handy... but for 2.0 I needed C for speed. I never could imagine, that it become so beloved in the short days...but I must admit... I use it more often, than I thought, too ;) And the Area-Buttons of Panex... makes it possible. I think I don't want anymore much Plugins without Panex & TICS  The most new released Plgins came with Panex (=Buttons) & TICS (=installlable in all Titanium-Themes) , e.g. JMLToday, Fav-Plugin and Launcher-Plugin from contable, CHeroClock... - and much more will be released - especially I'm looking forward to CS2P and Nitrogen-Player... that's why Buttons are made for :) Hope you enjoy TitaniumStarter, too - and for ideas - just tell me. In next Version I will add a next page, I think - and there will be also a jump to your Launcher, contable :) One question: How fast is your Keyboard in Mode III? Fast enough to write longer Text? (on my Device, yes) An if somebody makes a new skin and changed /images - please share it :) I want to have different keyboards, too :) Greetz Micha Edited October 27, 2009 by MichelDiamond
Guest thekevster Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 great app! will this work for all resolutions? i would test it on my wqvga omnia, but i'm running m2d right now.
Guest MichelDiamond Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 - Installed by TICS_installer: So it will work in ALL THEMES not only Standard Titanium, also Blizz,Josito,... (if you want to make a special .plg for the keyboard in your favorite Theme, just give it to me, I will integrate it) - ALL RESOLUTIONS: QVGA, WQVGA, VGA, WVGA - ALL ROM-Languages - no dependencies to a country or WWE-ROM - it knows, where your Start Menu is to find I also like to be independent from a device - so I'm used to get my developments international and multiresolution - and with TICS also for NeoTitanium, Bliss, whatever,... and so the answer is: yes, you can use it on any WindowsMobile-6.5-Device :D (But of course I cannot try all Resolutions, if something doesn't look good, please tell me) And pay attention, if you never used JMLPanex before - you must look, what's the "offset" is that the Buttons will work - there's some differences between the WinMo-Builds. On older one sometimes the "Press" too high. But I think here are much members who are using Panex and can help you. Cheers Micha
Guest thekevster Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 i guess i should have read a little bit harder instead of skimming through lol
Guest MichelDiamond Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 (edited) i guess i should have read a little bit harder instead of skimming through lol *lol* I really like Feedback - so you know that developing for free has other pleasures :D So - never mind :P Please don't forget to tell me your favorite animation-speed and the responsiveness of the Keyboard - need to know it for later Greetz Micha Edited October 27, 2009 by MichelDiamond
Guest Jumba Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Hi Micha, the animation is cool, but it runs slowly on my Omnia, even at the fastest setting. Any way to make it even faster?
Guest fane Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Hi Micha, the animation is cool, but it runs slowly on my Omnia, even at the fastest setting. Any way to make it even faster? Same here. But looks good thanks for sharing
Guest MichelDiamond Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 (edited) @fane,Jumba: Animation or Search time? How much Mhz (Speed) has your processor? Don't set Animation time too low (I should rename it from "fast" to "short" :D ) - better higher (140-200ms - set it with context menu) - the Search-Process is running during the first half turn in Background. Then Turn-Script is waiting, if search has not ended until then. So a longer time could be better :P Hard to understand, but that's it ;) I tested it on my Diamond with 300 .lnk's in 16 Subfolders in StartMenu - took 30ms. So we must look for the differences: Do you have Plugins, which are using 24/7-Mortscripts (older CComm, older CS2P or other Button-Color-Code-Plugins) - just look into your autostart-Folder. This slow down Titanium very much. Also look with a Task-Manager for running processes. To understand it, how I can improve it perhaps - i would need Registry-Values of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CHome\TitaniumStarter\Page1 (export it e.g. with Total Commander to a .reg-File) and also the file "dirlist.ini" from TitaniumStarter-Installation Directory after a "slow search" And don't forget: Tell me which Plugins you are running in Titanium Perhaps some devices have also problems with too much multi-tasking - but let's have a look into the files above before. One important question, too: The search is always ok? also after a "longer" search, right? Greetz Micha Edited October 27, 2009 by MichelDiamond
Guest MichelDiamond Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 One more - especially to Jumba: Could you have a look, if the images from TitaniumStarter could be made smaller in Storage-Size? then Titanium-Animations are faster. I made them small as I can - but I'm no graphic expert, perhaps there are some tricks, too :D
Guest Evidence_I Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Very Cool all my Panels are starting to become Panex Panels!!!
Guest MichelDiamond Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Very Cool all my Panels are starting to become Panex Panels!!! Looks great! :D Yeah - that's cool - iPhone cannot do this... :P Your Background is quite simple, but looks very cool, could you attach it for me? I would like it, too

Converted all images to grayscale and reduced them 50% without noticeable loss in quality. :P Just replace the \images folder with the one in the zip file.images.zip

Guest MichelDiamond Posted October 27, 2009 Report Posted October 27, 2009 Thank you Jumba!!!! Evidence: Thank you!!! Jumba: Great! - Can I post it in xda-devs, too? There already does somebody a resizing (but for QVGA) - then we can get some different Themes. But now I need Feedback from you - because I won't notice a Speed improvement, because on my device it's already fast. Could you tell me, if this problem is solved on your devices with the new graphics? Great Jumba - big Thanx!!!

Hi again, sure go ahead and use the gfx anywhere you like. :D The speed issue could have been something else but re-sizing the gfx seems to have fixed it. I tried playing with the delay settings but 20ms seems to be the best. The Omnia has a Marvell PXA312 624 MHz processor so it should be plenty fast enough, but the images were quite big anyway (images folder was 350k, now 120k).
Guest MichelDiamond Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 thanx :D you know-I'm a stupid ddevelopers with not very much knowledge about designing graphics in size :P thanx for your help! @ALL - important: could you have a look with CHome-Editor if "searchRootDir" is setted and contains path to startmenu? (Page1 of TitaniumStarter) please feedback. thanx Micha BTW: further wishes for next update? ;)
Guest Jumba Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 could you have a look with CHome-Editor if "searchRootDir" is setted and contains path to startmenu? (Page1 of TitaniumStarter) Looks fine here.
Guest Evidence_I Posted October 28, 2009 Report Posted October 28, 2009 BTW: further wishes for next update? :D A new Page To search Contacts!!!!!
Guest MichelDiamond Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 A new Page To search Contacts!!!!! HEy :D That's also my thought -as proposal for contable and his Plugin - the Keyboard can be overtaken to his Panel without problems. I will update TitaniumStarter with also some things - and that it works fast, I think I have to rewrite some things in C. But must also have a look for new JML-Releases - because Iwant todevelop a special design for it - witthe new features, which will come with JMLToday 5.5 (nice Animation, but more Business look...and using some fine things of Panex of course :P ) Perhaps - when I'm crazy... I want to make a piano-Keyboard for Titanium *lol* That would be easy *g*
