where are all the cool new roms and funky stuff?

everyone kept saying when the hero kernal was released we would get 1.6 for the hero and loads of new groovy roms with loads of new stuff....i wish i was a developer so i could do this myself but there doesn't seem to be anything fun that's been released since the kernal was posted by htc.

anyone cooking something cool for the hero???????????? :D

exactly, has been only a few days. there was rumor about 1.6, although i am not sure whether progress is made in this direction.

but before you start naging, have you actually looked what we got since the kernel was released?

we have two ppl modding, compiling and releasing kernels here, which already brought us a working droidwall, kinda vpn support (i don't actually care (yet)), compcache, ext4 support... work on full bluetooth support has begun, and if you give it a few weeks i am sure more will come (like porting the kernel to 2.6.29 + more features). idk what you are expecting, but for me this is pretty impressive for two people in one week...
