Guest RandyboY Posted October 29, 2009 Report Posted October 29, 2009 (edited) As the topic sais i have this problem with the process system stopping unexpectedly. When i push "Force close"(the only option) it closes and tries to restart everything... And it comes back up. I can do this for as long as i want. If im quick in between the messagbox i can actually shut down the phone normally. And when i do it starts and works perfect for a period of time, and suddenly(different scenario every time) it comes back and forces me to reboot it... Anyone have any tips? Now im on MCR 2.8, and the problem first appeared on 2.6. Ive tried a fresh install with RUU_Hero_HTC_WWE_1.76.405.6_WWE_release_signed_NoDriver-file and gone through the rooting and flashing all over... And now its still giving me this error. Guest schreda Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 have the same problem.. (2.8) but with further Versions also... could it be a program that runs in the background?..
Guest RandyboY Posted October 30, 2009 Report Posted October 30, 2009 Actually this is bothering me so much now that im downloading the latest RUU FW and leaves it with that... For now i guess :-\
Guest schreda Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 do you really think its a ROM problem? post your apps that you have installed, i'll compare it with mine
Guest sik_gerar Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 im having a related issue. i got "force close" messages on apps i had never had any of those. the worst part comes when sometimes (up to twice a day) the hero reboots itself. i do nothing to it, it may even be laying in my desktop, but when i come back to check it has rebooted and its asking for my PIN number. running on an spanish orange hero: Firmware: 1.5 Baseband: 65.18.55.06FU-6.35.07.08 Kernel: 2.6.27-mck-1.2 modaco custom ROM 2.8 core software version: 1.0.0.A6288 it comes from the latest HTC rom, did a goldcard and then updated to the .405 version to update hboot and this firmware.
Guest RandyboY Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 (edited) I deleted everything(almost, i kept those which i thought i needed), formated the memorycard within the phone menu. So a 100% clean memorycard now. Then i downloaded the latest rootable RUU ROM and went through that one, and then i went through the rooting-process again... Now ive had a phone without problems. So i can conclude its not the ROM but all the apps(not few, probably way to many) installed :-) Edited October 31, 2009 by RandyboY
Guest RandyboY Posted October 31, 2009 Report Posted October 31, 2009 Heh, i know i jinxed it cause five mins after publishing i got the famous error. I was fiddeling with the new, updated Astro file manager and tried to open a .png file. Then i had to reboot... Reinstalled the Astro and removed Quickboot-application (came up with an error right after) and rebooted. Now lets see for how long it keeps on this time ;-)
Guest RandyboY Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 This is it! Enough is enough... Today i wiped away modacos rom and installed the unrootable rom. (_HTC Hero_RUU_Hero_HTC_WWE_2.73.405.5_WWE_release_signed_NoDriver) It works like a charm without the stupid system process stopping unexpectedly(knock on wood)! If this is what need to be done, so be it. Its a shame, cause i relly loved the modifications done with modacos rom :-\
