Guest phil-t Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 (edited) Hi, I've just notice my Hero (UK Orange with Modaco 2.8/Tek1.7) was telling me it was election day all day tomorrow.. On investigation, going into the Calendar app, I noticed that under Menu->Calendars you get 'My Calendar', 'Googlemail Calendar', 'US Holidays' and 'Outlook'.. Obviously it's pre-programmed with US Holidays which is a little useless being in the UK.. Is this a 'ROM' localisation thing? Is there any easy way to get all the correct UK Bank Hols etc in to the Calendar without manually typing them all in? [edit]DOH, after 30 mins of searching/googling, I then posted this question, 10 mins later, I've actually found the Answer... For those that don't know the extra 'calendars' that are displayed are contributed to by your GMail Calendar, and even though when I recently set up a GMail account and told it I was in the UK, it has added the US Calendar as an additional calendar of interest. In your Google Mail account under Calendar, go to the settings and then the Calendar tab, and I could Add in UK Holidays, and remove US Holidays, one sync later, and it's as expected! Guest T39andcounting Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 I think this comes from the options selected in the calender associated with your google account. If you go to the calender from a regular browser (not sure how to do this from within Android) you can select which calenders are displayed on yours (left side under 'other calenders').
