When you plug in the charger, can you see the charging light at the 'on' button?

Have you tried turn it on when it's charging?

Have you tried take out the battery, sim and memory card and switch on with battery only?

Did this haven after flashing? try to reflash if so........might be a brick.

I have same problem here, after playing around with flashing self cooking rom my phone failed to download phone part and the result is phone (pda part) is on but phone (cellular network) is turn off, have tried to flashing again with other rom but each time to flashing phone part always failed and the result still same. is there anyway to solve this problem?

I have had the same problem. The phone part has been bricked. I sent it to the repair service, they will change the mainboard.

so, until now there isn't any way to solve this phone part brick issue unless bring it in to the service centre?

I hope we could figure it out someday whether there's any software or packaging tool to fix this problem.

There is always a solution but we don't know yet

An user from Romania who called "Elco" claims that he solves this issue for €30+shipping costs.

Most of Samsung services are not as experienced as to solve these issues(at least in Turkey). They always choose changing the motherboard when they couldn't understand the problem

You just need to Flash again, test with a custom rom.... When the flash dosen't succes for me I just flash again with another rom and it works fine.

if you bricked your pda part you're able to re-flashed again and everything back to normal, but if phone part bricked and it's turning off even you tried several times by flashing with different rom the result will be the same....phone part still turned off but ur still able to use ur pda function.

the point is I have looked into several similar posting in this room about phone part bricked problem and there isn't any people able to solve, well it seemed the only way is bring the phone into service center.

yeah, I have read about it through GSM forum, but the repaired cost and also shipping cost equal with cost of changing your phone motherboard...lol.

I believe some people in this forum ever had this phone part bricked problem, just want to know how they solved this kind of issue except bring to the service centre since even we flashed many times the phone part still turned off successfully....lol

Wrong, Elco takes €30 and shipping might take €20 or max €30 I don't know the certain cost. But the motherboard won't be less than €350-400

I've read a lot of things about the issue and I saw that all of advices are hearsay :D

Either you can send your device to the repair service or you can continue looking for a solution. Either way, good luck :)

Mine is going to the repair centre next monday or tuesday or so, I'll just see what happens.

Not going to pay € 350 for a new motherboard though...

wow....such a huge amount for repaired phone part problem. perhaps at this moment send my device to repair center is a better option due to lack off info about this problem solution.

350 euro for motherboard???? you can buy a new phone for half that money.....i900 is old news. Here in Australia you can buy them from $414 http://www.getprice.com.au/Samsung-i900-Om...obile-Phone.htm, thats about 200 euro!!

I agree with you....we could buy a new omnia with such that huge amount not only buy a single motherboard but the whole phone part...lol. my concern right now is, phone part bricked actually a software problem, not a hardware problem. maybe a flasher tool is the best solution rather than change into a new motherboard.

That's i900's seller price

Call the samsung repair service in your region and ask them how much the motherboard is

I remember that, one of my friend's hp6815 was broken. He bought it around $300. Hp wanted $700 (taxes included) for changing the motherboard

Nice! Got my phone back, all repaired within the garantee :D

I guess they replaced the entire thing, since it's got the standard ROM installed,

but hey, cost me nothing to get it fixed, I'm not complaining :)
