Camera Improvement since MCR 2.9

Is it just me or is the camera now alot better since MCR 2.9. Previously I found it hard to get a crisp shot without blur also seems like its takes the shot a bit quicker, now with the same settings the photos are verging on excellent. Anyone else noticed this?

... maybe it's just me. But pictures seem to be better now ... I think only Paul and/or the Teknologist can tell.

The camera is the biggest let down on the hero.

One tip, if you set the contrast to -2, the saturation to +2 and the sharpness to +2, seems to make the pictures a lot better.

One quick question, i dont want to start a whole thread... when you upgrade to the latest ROM, does it automatically upgrade the kernel? Or do you have to do this separetely? And if so is it worth it?

i read somewhere that there was a better camera app in this one, or the base rom 2.73.405.61. i think it was on xda, but i can't find it now...
