Guest joehero Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 So I was just at the Verizon store checking out the droid and I chatted with one of the sales reps who has an omnia. He was running what sounded like a somewhat numbered release of the HTC WinMo 6.5 OS that runs on the Imagio. Anyone else seen or heard about this? It had the HTC start menu for programs and was a much smoother interface than the M2D Roms around here. I don't want to call it TouchFlo 3D, but it was nearly identical to the Imagio I picked up next to him. Anybody have any thoughts? It was amusing because he also told me to wait for Andromnia as it will be amazing. Strnge considering Andromnia is nowhere near done...
Guest WoZZeR999 Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 I'm assuming he either had M2D running with a different skin, or ThrottleLauncher with the TF3d skin. The omnia simply does not have the power or hardware to run TF3D. M2D when built into the rom actually works really well. Was there fullscreen weather effects on the home tab?

I know for sure he had the Imagio's Start Menu which none of the M2D Roms I have seen utilize, so I guess it was Throttle Launcher? He seemed to act like it was a ROM of some sort, not a skin, though he may not have a clue what he is talking about.

As for employees, not sure why any of them would want to wait for andromnia to be done? There upgrade will come before it's done and Android is already here. The Omnia is great, but it's annual upgrade time for all of us who got the Omnia when it first came out last year and if someone wants Android - it's time to let the Omnia cool down for a bit and sit in the No. 2 seat.
Guest krondubbs Posted November 9, 2009 Report Posted November 9, 2009 He was probably using PointSense Suite from Blueocean over at Pointui... http://community.pointui.com/topic/suite-v...v2-make-it-mine
