Guest b7610_fan Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 (edited) If you use portsplitter the device will not go automatically go into 'sleep' - locked mode. And your batterylevel will go down fast. Test yourself: Exit portsplitter and leave the device unlocked on today screen... Device will go to sleep after 1min. ( energy settings ) Start Portsplitter and leave the device unlocked on today screen... The device will NOT go into sleep !! even not after 15minutes !!! --- Even if you lock the screen the device will not go into sleep mode and consumes a lot of battery. ( tested with a second B7610 ) --- I don't use GPS proxy because sometimes it crashes on the grapical satellite view page. And sometimes you get some COM errors and you have to reboot your winmo. Wich program do you guys use ? (for use with tomtom) Edited November 7, 2009 by b7610_fan

Guest spaanplaat Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 I use GPSproxy and it works like a charm. You just need to set the settings straight. Ariekanarie's guide works good. I set it up a little different but it comes down to the same. Perhaps if you have problems with portsplitter u could use this guide. It is translated form dutch to english so it can be jibberish but mostly it is understandable.
Guest ninjaw Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 I use now gpsproxy, et don't have all the problems i had with portsplitter, AND portsplittrer don't uninstall correctly ! it keeps bugging me on reboot, so it doesnt work, and is dirty ! Basicaly gpsproxy is the same thing with more features like real time monitoring et autostart
