Guest dddragon2 Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Hey everyone. I am having some hardware issues on the touchscreen with my Omnia w/ VZW and I want to send the phone in for warranty. The issue is that I upgraded my phone to use Blazing Wolfs WM6.5 and don't want to end up with a $500 bill if they find out I upgraded and voided my warranty. Can I just run the CF03 upgrade utility again from Verizon Wireless to revert back to the original 6.1? Will they be able to know that I flashed my firmware to 6.5 in the past?

I have run the official update utility on several Omnias and never had any issues. You can also download the CF03.img file in the flash instructions that you read when you first got started but the official update is easiest and fast.
Guest dddragon2 Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Anyone have experience with sending their previously hacked omnia into Verizon for warrenty?
Guest AFBcon06 Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 ya just flash it with CFO3 and your good. Im sending one back in a few days. I even sent one back when i bricked it and it said monahans when i plugged it into a computer.....I just used a small flat headed screw driver usually used on watches to scratch up the usb connector area lol just to make sure but since you can flash it dont do that they may see the damage.
Guest Grassguy Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I just flashed back to CF03 and sent it in, no prob. Plus the new omnia's screen sensitivity is 100 times better. No joke, i used to have to use my finger nails, now it's like an iPhone.
Guest brandogg Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I sent my original Omnia in with CC20 on it. They didn't give me any issues.
