Guest RavenFitz Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 I am hoping someone can help me... I need help with my Verizon Wireless Samsung Omnia. My first Omnia has been working flawlessly for the last 8 months & then about 2 weeks ago hardware failure! So, I contacted Verizon and they sent me out a new Omnia. I activated my Omnia, it programmed without an issue, but that's when the problems started. It started freezing up, and I kept on receiving Window's Error Messages (We're sorry...). After it would freeze up, it would shut off and the only way that I could turn it back on was to use my stylus to reset it. On this phone I did multiple hard resets and it did not fix the problem. I can't open the web browser, check email, use Google Maps, browse files on My Storage...basically I can't really do anything except make phone calls without the good chance that the phone will crash. I have perform several hard resets - tried it without installing any additional apps, etc - all with the same results. I have searched other sites & have seen people with the same issues but haven't found any posted solutions. Obviously I do not want to keep getting new Omnias shipped to me until I perhaps "luck out" and get an actual working phone. (because it seems that the standard Tech Support answer is Soft Reset, remove battery & put back in, hard reset and finally -- we'll send you a new one...) By the way, the new phone has the official Verizon upgrade already installed (CF03) Any advice? Thanks ahead of time
Guest necosino Posted November 10, 2009 Report Posted November 10, 2009 Flash to a custom i910 ROM, the verizon one is full of junk that tends to slow down our Omnias. Not to the point of issues where you are getting to, but still it's worth trying. Or, if you don't want to do that, re-flash CF03 with my guide here
