Guest dwattsy21 Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Before i rooted my phone, i found this great app called wiggle. Similar to Locale, it enables you to set changes to cettings to take place when wireless networks become out of range, or in range. I used it to make my bluetooth only be turned on when i was in my car... when i leave my home wireless network it turns on, and when i reach my work wireless network, it turns off. This saved my battery pretty well. However since rooting, I can't find the app in the market. Such a shame, as it works loads better than locale, within 30 seconds of leaving the network, bluetooth is on, just right for calls in the car using my bluetooth audio system. Does anybody else use this or know why it's not in the market? Or is there anyn other way of getting it? Dave
Guest Keramidas Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Hi, Good thing to hear of an alternative to Locale, as it consumes way too much battery imho. Unfortunately, umm... when I search for "wiggle" on the Market, I get only one result: "Beebs Old MacDonald". So maybe the developer removed his own app ? Try to contact him, if you have his contact e-mail (look in the app, if it's still installed)
Guest rhedgehog Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 or maybe it has been removed temporarily to be updated....? Applications usually disappear for a short while before the updates are uploaded to the market.
Guest Zeppu Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 (edited) A very quick search for 'android wiggle' gave me this link: http://www.androlib.com/android.applicatio...wiggle-qBi.aspx Unfortunately QR code doesn't help and I didn't find any info on where to download it, but asking there should help more. http://www.smartandroidapps.com/wiggle.php Edited November 12, 2009 by Zeppu

Such a shame its such a good app, works so much quicker than locale, and is a lot less resource intensive. It was literally like as soon as i step outside into my car... my bluetooth comes on. :)
Guest dwattsy21 Posted April 13, 2010 Report Posted April 13, 2010 ##UPDATE## Hi guys, Just to let you know that after months of searching everyso often for this app, it has re-appeared in the market. So for those of you that were interested in it, just search wiggle, and you can get either the lite version or the paid one for a couple more features. Really good app i think, doesn't consumer much ram/battery, and lets you do things like disable bluetooth when you are in range of your home and work wireless network (good for me as i only use bluetooth for my car system). Also can set your phone to silent when in range of your work wireless network, then louad again when you leave range. Brilliant!
