problem 3g with orange and modaco

Hello,

I've problems with 3G and Modaco 2.9 and the lastest radio IU. I'm using the french operator orange.

Before these problems, I remarked some things strange : for example, when I call someone sometimes, in the same time I talk to him, i hear the waiting tone...

So, I try manu things:

- downgrade radio version (FU, EU)

- downgrade modaco 2.8

- wipe and install modaco 2.8

but it changes nothing.

I remark also, making some tests this night, that sometimes when I call my phone with a box, it doesn't detect the call...

I don't have any idea, but, for information, I use Bouygues Telecom (French, too ;-)), and I have no problem with all the latest versions (MoDaCo ROM and radio).

Do you think the main tests I have to do is :

- to test with the original rom of hero (the one here: http://wiki.smartphonefrance.info/restauration-hero.ashx)?

- If it works, I will deduce that there is a problem with modaco and orange rom and I will see.

- if it changes nothing:

- to test my sim card with another tel to see if I have 3g or not :

- if it works:

- I test another operator sim card on my HTC Hero and if it works, it's inevitably a hardware problem with my 3G chip ?

What do you advise me to do first?

Maybe it's easier and simple to test first another operator sim card?
