Generic Italian WM6.5 Rom Released

Today the Italian version of the WM6.5 upgrade was released for the TG01. Italian users of the TG01 are all sim free so this rom will be generic - without the Orange or O2 branding.

I'd love to try this ROM to remove the Orange branding and to see if they have fixed any remaining issues with the TG01 i.e. call quality, but doubt that it would install on a UK version of the phone. I know German users have not been able to install the English rom release, maybe this barrier has been changed now that a generic rom has been released.

Anyone tried to install it yet? Have any Italian members noticed performance gains? If it was possible to install the Italian Generic Rom is it possible to change the language to English?

Update - Strangely enough I was able to download this from the Toshiba site, even with a UK IMEI, with the first batch of ROM releases this was prohibited. (If my memory serves correct). Version number is: 5005.0300.68, I'm currently running 5005.0001.67

The Toshiba mobile site is updating at the minute. When back online go to Toshiba > Communications & Mobile > Support > Software updates

I have tried this in my TG01 spanish version, it didnt work, is there anybody here from Spain who can contact movistar about a possible upgrade,

Movistar says the update will be released at the end november. So we will be lucky if can upgrade before 2010 :)
