It looks competly diffenent as the previous version. Had some memory errors/crashes with it but didn't try it yet after a hard reset.Had some errors too but have to check again on another rom. The biggest Problem for me is, that i wasnt able to get it to work with WAP-Connection instead of WEB-Connection... Dunno why anynone posted it here yet :) Maybe because its already featured on Modaco Homepage ;-)
Guest jeffrey2000 Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Maybe because its already featured on Modaco Homepage ;-) Yeh had noticed it already but still...
Guest DavidC Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 I'm using it and really impressed so far. Much much nicer to use than previous versions. Also, the optical pad works as a mouse pointer when the page is zoomed out on the WM6.5 roms. That's the first time I've seen the optical mouse work on a 6.5 rom :)
Guest brandogg Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Didn't Adobe say that Flash 10 would be available for mobile devices by now?
Guest pfonck Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 So far they haven't been able to pull me away from Opera Mini 4. It's the only browser that feels truely intuitive to me as it senses what you want to read and zooms in perfectly formatted. In Opera 9 I keep zooming/panning in all directions and never get exactly on screen what I selected. I think they're all too much trying to give people an iPhone look and feel and forgetting their strong points that made the browser so popular to begin with. Don't think Opera 10 will be a step in the right direction from my point of view but doesn't matter because I'm happy to stay with Opera Mini.
Guest tolgapaksoy Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 Didn't Adobe say that Flash 10 would be available for mobile devices by now? That's right, it should've ben available by October.
Guest Slick86 Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 I've been using skyfire and i have had flash video and mouse pointer since i installed it last month on 6.5. I find to be a superior browser but opera 10 might turn that around
Guest TheDrizzle Posted November 18, 2009 Report Posted November 18, 2009 How does the zooming work? In the 9.7 builds that were around, there was only the double tap to zoom; you couldn't zoom in multiple levels.
Guest pml_318 Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 too bad flash is not supported, still :)
Guest eufouria Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 This is fantastic! Can't wait for the newest release of flash but, 10 runs so smoothly! And speeddial!!!!
Guest Heintraag Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 No need for a Omnia cab. Just vist http://www.opera.com/mini/ and download the file. It wil complain that your phone (i900) is not recognised but that does not matter as it runs smoothly.
Guest NFJimc Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 I installed the new Version 10 Beta onto my Omnia and it is a lot smoother and faster then V9. Works great and does recognize landscape view. Now can someone tell me how to remove V9 off of the phone?
Guest dotvicky Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 (edited) I installed the new Version 10 Beta onto my Omnia and it is a lot smoother and faster then V9. Works great and does recognize landscape view. Now can someone tell me how to remove V9 off of the phone? Yup - quite like it myself. A step up from Opera 9 (which I was also fairly happy with). Bugs I've spotted so far: - won't let you use letters (as opposed to numbers) when typing in the address field with the Samsung Phonepad - have seen this before, think it means the 'type' of field is set incorrectly. - can't seem to get even vaguely nice looking thumbnails on the 'speed dial' page. Anyone know how to fix these or more likely, where I can report them to the Opera people? (I'm assuming that's the point of a beta but can't find anywhere obvious to send my bugs through.) But other than that, haven't played with it too much but what I've seen so far looks nice. Cheers Vicky P.S. And I have a feeling that you can't remove Opera 9 unless you installed it on yourself on a lighter ROM, I'm afraid. Edited November 20, 2009 by dotvicky
Guest Chimp Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 Anyone know how to get your bookmarks from Opera Mobile 9 over to v 10?
Guest WolfpackInCO Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 Opera is severely retarded when it comes to bookmark migration & even basic edits. Don't hold your breath.
Guest wjdunn3 Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 Working fine on my i910 with Airreaks Carbon Omega M2D2 ROM. Not found any bugs yet.
Guest leap_ahead Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 opera 10 play youtube video ?
Guest leap_ahead Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 opera 10 is the best for me !! before i have 9.5.. i see many diference on speed...
Guest 91dancer Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Anyone know if it is possible to make OM 10 identify as desktop computer as you could in 9.5? Some sites default to the mobile version instead of full page.
Guest ivanxxx Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 +1 + cannot view any flash data.. I've seen some opera flash fix cabs in a russian site, does anyone knows if those files useful with OpMob 10 ????
Guest Priceless07 Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Version 10 biggest drawback is it does not import bookmarks from its earlier version this is good enuff to skip this installation.
Guest bocorcorain Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 Is it possible to add extra search engine plugins - it has Google and Wikipedia i would like to add some others IMDB for example. Thanks in advance
