Guest Sarah_SPV Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 Afternoon SPVers! Now, I've been a good newbie and tried searching for this question so either I'm being a complete dumbass (highly likely), it's been answered and I didn't find it, or it's been answered and I read it and ignored it (again, likely!) ;) I'd run into the problem of contact names not showing when SMS messages were received so I got the Outlook Contact Reformatter and +44'd my contacts. That's fine. But before from the homescreen I was able to enter, for example, '078' and all numbers starting with 078 appeared. That was quite handy, but it doesn't seem that I can do this anymore as the numbers now have +44 in front of them. Am I making sense? If anyone can throw any light on a workaround would really appreciate it! Thanks. Other than that tiny glitch I've enjoyed my first week with the phone and have got some nice little wavs on it and am just looking into designing some homescreens. I do hope my boss isn't expecting a high output from me this week, heh.
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted February 2, 2003 Report Posted February 2, 2003 If you press and hold "0" it will change to a "+", and allow you to search through your contacts as per usual. You can also search by contact name by pressing the key with that letter on, eg: If you wanted to search for "bob", press 2,6,2, and all contacts containing "bob" (any any other contact with a,b,c,m,n,o combinations) will be selceted.
