Acer Aspire One (AOA150)- Wifi Performance

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has found a fix for the flakey wireless in windows on the aspire one. (lots of reports on aceraspireoneuser forums.)

There appear to be some really bad drivers out there, ive tested probably about 30 differnet versions and still havent found anything solid.

In windows xp, i get a maximum transfer rate 0f 500k.

In windows 7 ultimate - max through put is fine but disconnects when you start to download a file.

Ubunutu - all is fine! Grrr

Ive had fresh installs of both 7 and XP Sp3 and tested all wifi drivers that i can get my hands on. Done the usual tweaks of turning the power management off and that hasnt helped at all.

Any suggestions at all?
