Flash video on HTC Hero

I need some help getting flash videos to play on my HTC Hero. It is a strange issue as all youtube videos work as intended but it seems that whenever I try to view flash videos outside of youtube it doesn't load and all I see is a cross and upon clicking on the cross it states this content cannot play on this device. I have tried lots of different sites (yahoo movie trailers for example) and all seem to fail. Am I missing an addon or something? I know that Hero comes with flash lite and should support these videos.

I would appreciate any input into this.

When the Hero came out there was some debate over the flash support. It seemed that it was fairly tempremental and hasn't improved much since (in my opinion). It's unlikely that you've got a problem with your phone, it's probably just the lacklustre support..:)

Yeh you seem to have the same opinion as some of the people over at another Android forum. I hope that Eclair maybe brings more supports for other sites. One of the main reasons that I got this phone was the support for flash but it seems HTC/Google want us to stick only to youtube.
