Recently, I purchased HTC Hero from Beijing, China.

When it boot show up China Mobile and Dopod logo and bit later another green logo which don't know.

Model number: HTC Hero

Firmware version: 1.5

Baseband version: 63.18.55.06U_6.35.04.35

Kernel version: 2.6.27-8dd6deee htc-kernel@and18-2

Build number: 1.79.482.3 146733 CL#49365 release-keys

Software version: www.HiAPK.com 1.0_g3_.senseS

Is it possible to update rom, radio etc.,?

I am beginner to this forum. From where I need to start?

BTW, Paul can you add "Mongolia" in your registration country list.

i recommend you downgrade it then root it with modaco 2.9. go to theunlockr.com and theres a guide (including video) to downgrade your phone and then how to root it, took me about 20-30 minutes to root it.

Start to read the main modaco Rom thread at the top read from start as all questions have been answered early on when modaco hero Rom was released. Everything plus more is there.

you can remove the china mobile and dopod boot screen by flashing your phone with RUU Hero_HTC_WWE_1.76.405.6

flash Paul's MCR 2.8 then upgrade to MCR 2.9 for chinese language support, or you can flash MCR2.9 and add chinese pack by yourself, these is relevant post on XDA.

BTW, MCR2.9 and the latest radio 63.18.55.06IU_6.35.08.22 works fantastic.
