Rooting and flashing rom - safety concerns

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi everyone

I spent long hours reading different forums about rooting and flashing.

However Ive got some safty concerns before I do that. I have Tmobile G2 Touch

1. Daft ONE Does applying custom recovery image invalidates warranty.

2. Another daft - Does applying custom rom invalides warrenty (I believe it does)

3. Is it possible to backup device before I start, without applying custom image

4. Is it possible to revert all setings back to factory settings including rom and recovery image in case I need to send it for repair

5. Is it better to use guids on this forum or use unlockr videos

6. Another daft Does applying recovery image means rooting the phone ?

8. How long the ROM update takes - when should I restart the phone

9. Which rom is better to apply the t-mobile rooted one or generic one

Thanx for answers

sorry for daft questions
