I reserved one for 12/2 at our local VZW store, and will be there @10am when they open to pick it up.

I feel like an 8 year old trapped in a 47 year old's body on Christmas Eve. It's pathetic!

Samsung and Verizon went a lot further than just cosmetics in the face-lift of the O2 that was done for Big Red. Additions to the i920 (VZW O2) vs. the i8000 are Swype SIP (yeehaw!!), a built-in stylus, externally accessible microSD slot, and stereo speakers!

For the first time in my memory, it looks right now like Verizon customers are, for the first time, getting something better than everyone else. With these significant changes and additions, the i920 is looking to be a big improvement over the i8000.

Now maybe we US folks can engage in a harmless little bit of Schadenfreud at the expense of our international friends... it's only fair -- we're always over here in The States always feeling like envious second-class citizens when it comes to cell-phone geek-tech!

The i920 looks physically bigger and the screen looks bigger than the i8000 also? I posted a response to the side by side comparison thread titled "Verizon O2 has stereo speakers?" Look near the bottom screens of both phones the i920 has more real estate even though the top of screens are lined up.

does anyone know if GPS is going to be unlocked, or if we will have to wait about a year for a leak to come out that unlocks GPS?

the other upgrades like the built-in stylus is clutch, offical winmo 6.5, stereo speakers, and the AMOLED screen is gonna look so sweet. i wish they woulda upgraded the 5MP on the camera tho, although it does include flash now.
