Both offical and custom rom gives me infinite align screen.

I aligned it more than 10 times and still repeats and repeats.

And its not even aligned accurate, I have to aim 1cm below what I want to hit.

Is there any solution to this??

Phone: samsung omnia i910 VZW

And will VZW allow me to change phone because of this issue?

thanks.

funny that you are having that issue. most if not all of these custom roms bypass the alignment screen and it's not been an issue. i for one, had a problem with alignment with my oem rom until i flashed to a custom rom and now i've flashed a lot of times and i've never had to align since it's bypassed and no problems with that at all.

Install PHM RegEdit. Open it and search for "maxcal" This will bring up maxcalerror with a value of 7. Change it to like 100 or 150 and then align and it will work just fine.

To bypass the alignment screnn after hard reset -- create a new blank text document and rename the file as welcome.not and not welcome.not.txt and then save it on your memory card..and from next hard reset it wont ask for alignment.

or

Go to HKLM->HARDWARE->DEVICEMAP->TOUCH.

Change the key value for MaxCalError from 7 to a bigger value (for example 20).

then do alignment

use PHM registry editor.
