Guest Musicmannetje Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Yee.. Thanx Man! Just what I needed. Did it and it worked at once!
Guest markspark100 Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Also as requested original...I think, I made this from screenshoting someone's avatar so not sure if the writing is exactly the same size but have attached in both bmp and rgb565 formats so you can see it but its also ready for flashing. Mark :Doriginal.zip
Guest fabsn Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 I'm using my own little splash. Shows up the whole bootprogress as i changed the bootanimation as well. That's also my wallpaper. Looks awesome on the HTC Hero Display. mysplash.rar

Guest markspark100 Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 Another way for those on Windows who use Paint.NET http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopic.p...=16&t=32219 Download this plugin and you can save in correct format straigt from Paint.NET. Not sure how I stumbled across this but it's very handy :D Mark
Guest 1immortal Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 ok , now there's another question : how do i replace the HTC logo , when i starts up ? the one after the new wallpaper i flashed ?
Guest shenshang Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 ok , now there's another question : how do i replace the HTC logo , when i starts up ? the one after the new wallpaper i flashed ? thats not a bootscreen, it is the splash for HTC Sense UI
Guest 1immortal Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 can i replace that one too ?
Guest clarkEEE1 Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 can i replace that one too ? I think the screen your on about is in the rom is that splash screen.
Guest kendon Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 thats not a bootscreen, it is the splash for HTC Sense UI so far we have been calling this bootscreen, also because of it's location: /system/media/bootscreen you can put your own gif images and mp3 sounds there, have a look at boot_animation.xml from the same folder. it is pretty straigtforward.
Guest clarkEEE1 Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 Yeah when you change your gif image just make sure you rename it the same as the file your replacing I.e boot.gif / boot2.gif. if I were you save your original gifs on sd before changing them though.

Guest kendon Posted November 29, 2009 Report Posted November 29, 2009 (edited) kendon, I could not find the bootscreen thread you quoted in a previous post. Do you have a link please? Thanks. lol, a search for "bootscreen" could have helped :D http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-hero...ootscreen-v0-1/ btw, i didn't care for any values at all, just created default gif images with gimp, all worked so far. but i had problems with some gifs i got from the net, over at xda someone wanted the animated "htc - quietly brilliant" log as a bootscreen, didn't get that to show at all.
