Guest sheppy1 Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Hi guys, I've tried searching for this but came up with nothing. Basically what I want to do is create a folder in the main menu so that I can place all of my Games into it so that I don't have to go hunting through loads of Apps to find the games I want, now I know you can create folders on the home screen but I want to create a folder on the main menu, then move the games I want from the main menu into the folder, is this possible?
Guest sheppy1 Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Fair enough then lol. Strange just how much you can do on an Andorid phone yet you can't hide or move apps on the homescreen
Guest drummer Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 (edited) You can create a folder for this on the home screen. From a home screen with enough space for a couple of items, tap + Folder New Folder Tap this New Folder you just created Hold down on white name bar at top and rename to whatever you like ok tap + Shortcut Program Tap the program you want to add Drag this shortcut to the folder Job done and repeat steps 6 onwards for more shortcuts Edited November 25, 2009 by drummer

Guest Higgsy Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Try Apps Organiser free from the market. Works well for me!

Cool glad you like it, works well and solves the problem. I think you should be able to do this in the native apps menu - e.g create folders, seems another basic functionality google/htc missed?!
Guest punkmonkey1984 Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 so people know it's called Apps Organizer with z not a s when looking for it in the market place lol
Guest HunteronX Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 (edited) Hi you can use AdvancedLauncher - a home replacement, which is like a stock android home screen, but you can have more than 3 screens, and you can also create folders in the drawer menu, and hide apps too. I'm not sure if it works on a HTC hero, but it works on my T-mobile Pulse. I've attached an apk.AdvancedLauncher.zip Edited November 26, 2009 by HunteronX

Thanks for this, seems like exactly what I'm looking for but after having a read into it, it seems like this will replace my Sense UI and change it to the default Google UI, shame it's a full home replacement and not just an app :-(
