Once you flashed a recovery it will also be there android 2 shouldn't deleate your recovery image.

I take it he means if Paul is planning to create a new custom rom based on the 2.0 SDK.

But as far as i can see Paul is already planning to include the most important function of Android 2.0 (that would be full bluetooth functionality imho) in a future version. As for the rest, he's faster than HTC with most functionality and as they haven't released HTC Sense for the Hero i guess nobody can code for it untill that's done.
