This has been adapted from Pocket VCS, thanks go to Stuart Russle for making his source code available. It runs on UNLOCKED phones only.

Instructions

=======

1. Download file (below) and place on phone somewhere (storage card is best).

2. Put your roms in the same directory.

3. Make a shortcut to SmartVCS and place in start menu

4. Enjoy

Please note

- With some roms this app may/will crash your phone (requiring a power cycle)

- Some ROMs don't work.

- It has not been tested at all. it may not work very well with incomming calls etc.

- For use 'as is' no warranties provided or liability accepted.

But I haven't had any luck getting games to run correctly.

Have tried so far:

Space Invaders

Tapper

Anyone having more luck ?

Frogger works here.

What happens when you run it?

The frogger game runs, but I am unable to move the frog.

I was too impatient !!

Found out you have to wait for the music to finish after pressing '1' to start.

Just ran "The A-Team"... Game sucked bigtime, but it worked and ran ok...

edit: hmm, just figured out how, scroll to one of the sliders and press action...

There seems to be loads of software for this console. Personally I never had one. Are any of the games any good?

Nooooo... In my honest opinion they all suck bigtime.... But I appreciate people taking their time to do emulators... This one just isn't that good...

I am afraid I have to agree. I tried out loads of games. All very poor. I suppose they were good in their day.

I hope I don't seem ungrateful. :oops: All the people porting CE applications are doing a fantastic job.

I had the original 2600 - who can truly say that Pong wasn't a superb game? I liked the boxing one myself ;) It also had the distinction of two of the worst games ever - ET and Custer's Revenge, ..

And also some of the best, pong, pac-man, asteroids, defender and best of all, space invaders. All 112 different varieties of it. Oh it brings tears to my eyes (my very first console).

Aaarrrggghhhh!! Finally got official decert to work and vcs resets my phone!!! No fair!!! No longer is it decerted and a new partnership with Activesync was required ;)

Heh bummer, downloaded this pretty much just for Cali Games and it doesnt work.

Is there anyway to remap the keys? 4 and 6 is a bit of a pain with monster hands like mine!
