Hi All

Been playing with my new htc G2 from t-mobile in the last week and am loving it but I have a few questions.

First off. syncing contacts to pc. I`ve managed to get this working ok with outlook 2003.Problem is that any photos you assign on the phone get reduced down in size when synced by outlook to a resolution that looks horribly blocky on the phone screen when calling a contact. I`m wondering what everyone else does with syncing contacts. I tried windows contacts and that doesnt seem to sync photos. Should I just move them all over to gmail and use that?

Secondly, Is it normal to have android processes stop? For example "android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly" was coming up everytime i went into contacts until i discovered a google mail and phone contact seemed to be clashing. I`ve had over processes stop too. Usually a reboot fixes this. But getting it a few times a day. is this normal?

Thirdly, predictive text is really impressive but it seems to not function on every application. For example doing a search in the browser would be useful to have this function.

Fourthly, watching beebplayer or youtube am noticing playback is quite pixelated even when on a good wifi link. is this normal?

Ok think thats all :D

Thanks in advance for any help with these.

1. not sure, but probably one of the many limitations when using sync...

2. no this is not normal. you have a problem somewhere. when playing hardcore (like flashing several roms a day i modded myself, compiling/flashing kernel, altering applications and installing them etc.) i get a few force closes a day, only until i reach or restore a stable state. then it runs for days without FC's.

3. uhm, i don't like the predictive text, first thing that is turned off after wiping... but i can see your point.

4. i think this is normal, as i would think the quality is reduced to lower the hunger for resources. don't know though, but imo this stuff is always worse on handsets.

Just to add to this i`ve found since I sorted out my contacts I`m not getting crashes any more.

The beebplayer seems to improve quality the longer you play a programme.

Still havent solved the syncing problem. Think I`ll just move everything over to google mail to solve that one.
