Problems with root on MoDaCo 2.9

Hello guys!! I have some problem I think. Yesterday did downgrade from Orange 2.73 6xx Rom to Original 2.73.405.5 HTC rom using goldcard and recovery image method. Then I upgraded to MoDaCo 2.9 core Rom.

Now I can see in Settings some apps called SuperUser and Wireless Tether, but the problem is if I want to start tethering it stuck on black screen with "SU Request" on it. Same happens when I try to use Market Enabler.

Do you know how to resolve this problem?

It's ok. Just click ALWAYS ALLOW and you're set.

But the market enabler app doesn't show me always allow option, just goes to this blanc black screen ,labeled " Su Request" and stuck like this...

btw usb debbuging is on...

This has happened to me in the past with Modaco 1.x ROMs. I solved it by rooting the phone the old way, without confirmation dialogs.

Boot into the CM Recovery image.

Run adb shell.

mount -o rw /system

cd /system/bin

cat sh > su

chmod 4755 su[/codebox]

Done, it will work. The disadvantage is that you will not be notified when something runs as root.

ok, i do get the black screen with the green text, but there are only a few options and none are adb shell.

So i did a complete reset, and upgraded to the latest room from htc.

Maybe Ill give it a go again from the beginning at some point.
