Guest danial776 Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 I Think I Accidently Bricked My Omnia. I Updates The Phone Using The Offical Firmware From The Samsung Website and There Were No Errors During Firmware Update. After The Update Had Finished Succesfully And The Updater Told Me That It's Safe To Remove The Cable I Turned On The Phone And Now It Won't Go Past The Samsung Omnia Splash Screen. I Tried What Paul Said On A Previous Post To Turn On The Phone And Reset The Phone And Click Update. I Am Using Windows 7. When I Try To Connect The Phone It Detects The Phone But After Like 5 Seconds It Says Device Unplugged Please Help As This Is My Dad's Phone and I Already Broke Another Omnia That He Had Aswell. Thanks In Advance
Guest Heintraag Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 Could you please not post with a capital letter for each seperate word.. You flashed using windows 7. That does not work, even in the XP mode option. Try finding and using a XP machine and flash again, that wil no doubt work. Or install vmware on your windows 7 system and get XP on that to start flashing.

Your phone is NOT bricked, just the PDA section of the phone didn't flash correctly. You can either re-start the flash process, or flash a custom ROM depending if you're on an i900 or an i910(verizon) there are dozens available to choose from.
Guest Heintraag Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 Yes you can flash using Grand prix but if you would download a cooked rom in the usual exe package then it will not work. At least it did not work on my windows 7 ultimate setup.
