Is there a real big advantage in 6.5?

I just don't have time to search and scan through all posts for a comparison. So I let the experienced users tell their own stories.

I kinda like m2d but its screen is just too plain for a home page except the cool animated weather which is the only thing that would get me to use it. I prefer the s2u2 customisable animated lock screen with either sbp shell v2 or v3 (paid for it). Either way both are nice to have as UI for the Omnia.

Anyway back to the rom flashing which is in the topic subject, is it necessary (must have) to upgrade to 6.5 from 6.1? From what I've known so far is 6.5 is more finger friendly, kinetic support scrolling (but can be laggy randomly), and less scroll bar pages. But is it much more stable and faster with flash websites in Opera, media apps running at the same time which I really want to do most of the time. Right now with Qbus7 DXID1 wm6.1 lite rom and when the program remaining memory is about 30Mb left after closing some apps started with 56Mb after a soft reset, it is really slow with only Opera opening. I just wonder why only 30Mb shows, should it return to around 56Mb? Btw I only have about 300Mb left from the 16G internal storage but this should not affect the phone speed performance though. That is the reason why I start looking around to improve its performance either with a 6.5 upgrade or a better 6.1. Battery performance is very good now and there are no other issues. Overall winmo will become laggy after a while when apps are installed even when they are open and closed (like its desktop counter part). If this is a fact then I have to live with it with a soft reset (just annoying) :D .

Any useful info is greatly appreciated :( .

Hy Quang,

wm 6.5.3 is way better then 6.1 nicer to look at to touch and very responsive. I've been using wm 6.5 since the beta testing started and I can tell you that the new roms are perfect! I'm using someone's 28002 and it feels great. I'd recommend you to try titanium classic since it's something cool to have as a today screen... About the program memory you have to take into account that M2D, even though it beeing pretty cool, uses about 25-30 megs alone... I've now got 115.55 mb free in storage and about 50 free in program memory.

If you want to install MS3 you can flash an ultralite 6.5 rom so that you can have all the memory you want!

If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask! :D

see ya
