Guest Hroth Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 Is there any way to get the 5 megapixel camera at the back of the i900 to behave like a webcam and allow a computer to stream from it over wifi? I wanna build something similar to except using the omnia and utilizing the camera.
Guest Hroth Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 I'm using SmartLab's Pocket VNC server now to control the phone from my pc and the camera does work but it's quite slow and choppy and only shows what the phone displays so the color sensing control won't work while the camera is enabled. Making progress though.
Guest Rooster Misfit Posted December 2, 2009 Report Posted December 2, 2009 well i have seen quite a few apps that use the camera such as qik and a few webcam apps... if you check out my blog you can find several different apps i have used... but yeah you can make something similar to that... all that robot does is look for the color on the iphoney that corresponds with a certain movement... reminds me of the gyro game back on the NES that came with a robot that did stuff depending on what you did in the game

Run application on your omnia and in options click on network than enter the ip of you pc. use ipconfig command on your pc if you dont know the ip of you pc. Then connect the phone on you wifi network then start program WebCamera Plus on your pc and on phone click connect and you will turn your phone in a super quality webcam.
